Image Atlas produces photochemical objects.

Made using the 19th century wet plate collodion photographic process to create one off silver photographs, called tintypes. 

Image Atlas can be booked for tintype portraits, special events and commissioned shoots in New York and Across the USA. 

Image Atlas has worked with leading musicians, artists and actors to create unique imagery.

Tintype Studio Portrait Session

A liquid emulsion is poured onto a piece of tin, it is then made light sensitive in a silver bath, the exposure is taken, and then the image is developed on the plate. The tintype is then dried and a liquid varnish applied, to create an artefact that will last for generations.
